Bohemian Journeys
The Coachella Valley provides a multitude of options for outdoor adventure. Any experiences below can be provided for private group experience. As soon as we know the size of the group and the time frame required we will craft the day with options to be definably signature for your particular event and group dynamic. All experiences include pick up at your hotel or residence, driving, desert education and cold beverages. If the adventure is over 6 hours’ lunch is included. This is the opportunity to experience an outdoor adventure with a guide possessing free spirit, captivating storytelling education and bohemian mystery.
Santa Rosa Wilderness Hike with Sage
Stick Making (Moderate)
The Santa Rosa Wilderness rests just above the Coachella Valley basin at 7,000 ft. It offers a cooler environment with an array of higher elevation plants that have been used for centuries by the Native Americans. Learn about their uses and the terrain. At a beautiful creek learn how to make your own sage stick after picking sage along the way. Hikers encounter cactus gardens, pinyon pines and junipers. In wet seasons, profuse spring wildflowers are everywhere. Look for the abandoned turn-of the-century dolomite mine along the way.

A Full Day in Joshua Tree (All levels)
Enter into a world of vast, sweeping, panoramic views in the middle of the Joshua Tree National Park. Visit Lost Horse Mine which was the most productive gold mine in the history of the park. After a morning hike a visit to Pappy and Harriett’s for lunch allows for a step back into the wild west. The meat lovers or vegetarian chili is award winning. This watering hole goes back to the 1940’s when a group of filmmakers invested in creating a Western-style movie set. After lunch the option is yours. If art is of interest we will visit an eclectic, bohemian outdoor exhibit of art in the desert. This affords for great photo opportunities. If shopping is of interest, we will visit the best that Joshua tree has to offer!

The Grottos Hike In Mecca (Technical)
Mecca is an area of the Coachella Valley where farm lands abound and then further into the mountains the effect of the San Andreas fault has created unique rolling mountains with layers of sediment, caves and natures sculpture. This lightly trafficked loop trail is for the avid adventurer. This hike will feature sweeping vistas of the Salton Sea amidst mountain topography and hikers will enter into caves, crevasses and slot canyons.
